Illegal Practice: Quack jailed for three months
The drug inspector presented the challan on June 3

A drug court on Friday awarded three months’ imprisonment to a man convicted of illegally operating a clinic and injecting veterinary medicine to some people in Basirpur in Okara. The judge also fined him Rs40,000. Prosecution said Muhammad Mansha, a resident of Basirpur, had been running his clinic without a licence and was using veterinary medicine on his patients. Police had registered a case against him under Section 23/27 of Drug Act 1976 after a drug inspector raided his clinic. The drug inspector presented the challan on June 3. Mansha pleaded guilty to the charges. The court tawarded three months’ imprisonment to Mansha.
