PESHAWAR:

Doctors at Lady Reading Hospital have given a three-day ultimatum to the provincial government to investigate the clash between paramedic staff and doctors triggered by hostel lodgings. The announcement was made at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Doctor Association’s LRH chapter President Dr Rizwan said hospital authorities had beaten doctors and threatened them during clashes on November 16. “The provincial government assured us action will be taken against the culprits,” Rizwan said. “However, nothing has been done so far.” He added doctors will announce a strike across K-P if the government does not take action against the culprits.
