Code Of Conduct: Chaudhry Sher’s bail plea accepted

The other suspects have not sought bail

FAISALABAD: Additional Session Judge Muhammad Usman accepted the bail pleas of former mayor Chaudhry Sher, former MPA Khawaja Islam, Shafiq Gujjar and former MNA Amjad Yasin on Thursday. They are accused of violating the Election Commission of Pakistan’s code of conduct. Gulberg police had registered a case against Sher, his son State Minister Abid Sher Ali, MNA Rana Afzal, MPA Mian Tahir Jamil,  Khawaja Islam, Shafiq Gujjar and Amjad Yasin for violating the code of conduct during the local government election campaigns. Advocate Karasan Khan, counsel for Sher, Islam, Gujjar and Yasin, had filed bail applications. The other suspects have not sought bail.
