Sindh In Action: Govt directs employees to file tax returns
The FBR has already acquired data from Accountant General Sindh, letter added

The Services, General Administration & Coordination Department, Government of Sindh, has sent a circular letter addressed to all additional chief secretaries, administrative secretaries and senior members of board of revenue requesting them to direct their subordinate to file income tax returns on or before November 30, 2015 as required by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The letter states that there are thousands of employees in the government who are not filing their income tax returns despite earning taxable income. The FBR has already acquired data from Accountant General Sindh, letter added. However, the letter further added the compliance rate to notices served to employees is very low. The letter further said that it is mandatory under section 114(1) of Income Tax Ordinance 2001 to respond to such a notice.
