Inauguration: Project for coordination in health launched

LAHORE:
A project aimed to improve interaction among public and private sector organisations for health-related initiatives was inaugurated at a ceremony at Nur Center for Research and Policy (NCRP) on Tuesda. The project, called Strengthening Policy and Strategic Planning Unit (PSPU) for Coordinated Public Private Health Initiatives in Punjab, is funded by the United States Agency for International Development, under the Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund programme. It will be implemented by the Nur Centre for Research and Policy (NCRP). PSPU Additional Director Zahida Sarwar informed the audience about various programmes the PSPU was undertaking with the government, the World Bank and the Department for International Development (DFID). She said the NCRP would provide technical assistance to the PSPU in priority areas and establish a health consortium with development partners.
