KARACHI: The anti-corruption and establishment (ACE) team conducted a raid at Lyari General Hospital on Wednesday and confiscated records pertaining to procurement of medicines. ACE chairperson Mumtaz Ali Shah said that the action was taken following the reports of massive irregularities in the purchase of medicines. “Our team in district South has started an inquiry into the matter and will submit the report within a few days,” he said, adding that the hospital officials have reportedly misappropriated millions of rupees funds and an inquiry team will also look into it.
