Fatal Row: Man sentenced to death
Sharif was later arrested by Gowalmandi police on the complaint of the father of the deceased

An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday sentenced a man to death for killing a youngster. Muhammad Sharif had killed Muhammad Munir in connection with a row over feeding kites. According to details, the mother of the deceased used to feed kites much to the chagrin of Sharif, their neighbour, whose pigeons used to flee on spotting the birds. In 2011, Munir’s mother was feeding kites according to routine when Sharif had started abusing her. The deceased ventured out of the house to caution his neighbour against abusing his mother when he had shot him. Sharif was later arrested by Gowalmandi police on the complaint of the father of the deceased. Police presented a challan declaring Sharif a suspect at the court. His counsel told the court that his client was being framed in a false case. The judge sentenced Sharif to death and fined him Rs300,000 following the conclusion of arguments.
