War crimes: Resolution against Dhaka hangings

It states that executing those who believed in the ideology of Pakistan was regrettable

LAHORE:
Leader of Opposition Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed on Monday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly condemning the hanging of two opposition leaders in Bangladesh. Salauddin Quadir Chowdhury, leader of the Bangladesh National Party, and Ali Ahsan Mojaheed of the Jamaat-i-Islami, were hanged on Sunday after being convicted of war crimes. The resolution calls the executions “tragic, brutal and biased”. It states that executing those who believed in the ideology of Pakistan was regrettable.
