Over custody: Woman stabbed by ex-husband

MINGORA: A man injured his ex-wife by stabbing her several times at the civil courts in Kabal tehsil on Monday. Kabal police officer Janib Khan said Nisar Khan, a resident of Koza Bhandai, married Nagina Bibi, a resident of Ningolai, five years ago. Janib said, “As time passed their relationship turned sour.” The policeman added, “They realised they could not live together and approached the court for divorce which was granted a year ago.” said Janib. “Later, Nagina Bibi filed a case in court to get custody of her children and claim property from her former husband.” He said, “On Monday, the woman came to the court for the case hearing when Nisar attacked her with a knife and stabbed her multiple times.”
