Politics and religion: US, allies fighting wars to impose capitalist agenda: Fazl
Says they view Islam as an obstruction to said goal
SHERGARH:
Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) group, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, said US and Europe were fighting wars to impose a capitalist agenda on the world. He said they consider Islam an obstruction in achieving their goal.
In a ceremony at Darul Uloom Islamia Arbia, Shergarh, Rehman said narratives in political wars of today have altered. “People who follow politics with a religious tilt are declared terrorists while the rest of the politicians are only termed as corrupt,” said Fazl.
He added Obama recently said Muslims were not terrorists as a nation, but a very small proportion among them was involved in heinous crimes. According to Fazl, if Obama believed his statement, US and its European allies would not kill innocent Muslims around the world.
The JUI-F chief said they were fighting a war of personal interests, durable survival and imposing their capitalist agenda. “Islam is just a threat to their plans. This is why they are targeting Islam and Muslims.”
The Mardan leadership of JUI-F, former MPA and MNA, officials, workers of JUI-F, and a large number of students and faculty of the seminary were present at the occasion.
The merger
Meanwhile in a joint statement on Monday, JUI-F Swabi Ameer Maulana Attaul Haq Darvesh, Swabi senior ameer Ashfaqullah Khan and General Secretary Maulana Ihsanul Haq stated the Tarakai family put their political future at risk, all for a senate seat.
“Chief Minister Pervez Khattak did not announce any development projects during his visit to the district,” said one of the officials. They alleged Rs2 million of Swabi’s developmental funds was spent on the recent political gathering announcing PTI and AJIP’s merger.
