Earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 recorded near Chitral, says United States Geological Survey
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 was recorded on Sunday near Chitral in northwest Pakistan, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake struck 83 km (50 miles) north-northwest of the city, which lies close to the border with Afghanistan, the organisation reported.

According to Express News, jolts were felt in Lahore, Faislabad, Sheikhupura and Muzafarabad, among other cities.
Earlier on October 26, an earthquake of magnitude 7.5 struck Pakistan and northeastern Afghanistan, killing over 200 people.
