Week-on-week: SPI falls 0.07%

The SPI for the combined income group fell 0.07% from 219.74 points in the previous week to 219.59

ISLAMABAD:
The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended November 19 registered a fall of 0.07% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 211.39 points against 211.37 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group fell 0.07% from 219.74 points in the previous week to 219.59 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group rose 2.17%. During the week, average prices of 9 items fell in a selected basket of goods, prices of 19 items rose and rates of remaining 25 goods recorded no change.
