Export promotion: EDF Board approves exhibition
The board forwarded projects of Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association
ISLAMABAD:
The Board of Administrators of the Export Development Fund approved textile exhibition - TeXpo - for the promotion of textile exports at the 69th board meeting held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir. It also approved the establishment of Skilled Development Research Centre to be executed by Tribal Area Chambers of Commerce and Industry to improve SMEs in FATA. The Board ratified TDAP proposal to hold TeXpo in Karachi from April 7 to 10, 2016 in which all sub-sectors of textile will be invited. The board forwarded projects of Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association to the finance committee to scrutinise and reform the project to make it more professional and cost-effective.
