Privatisation: Union calls off countrywide protest
They said the decision was taken following a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and a union delegation

Khurshid Ahmed and Abdul Latif Nazamani of the All Pakistan Hydro Workers’ Union said on Friday that workers had decided to call-off their nationwide protest campaign following an announcement regarding the formation of committee to review the privatisation of power supply companies.Federal Minister for Water and Power Khwaja Asif will head the committee. It will also include officials of other ministries and union representatives. Workers have called-off their nationwide protest campaign in the wake of the announcement. Workers had been protesting against the move for over a year. They said the decision was taken following a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and a union delegation.
