Double murder: Mother, son killed in their home

A mother and her son have been shot dead in their home in Bank Colony, Dhamial on Friday. According to police, the incident took place in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police. The murders were said to be the result of an old enmity. The deceased were identified as Rabia Zaheer and her son Umair Zaheer, 21. Police said the murderer entered their house at 6pm and opened fire on the family, resulting in their deaths. The sound of the gunfire alerted a large number of residents in Bank Colony, who found the dead bodies and contacted emergency service Rescue 1122, which shifted the dead bodies to DHQ Hospital for a post-mortem.
