In cold blood: Two brothers shot dead on way to market
The motive behind the double murder was a family feud

At least two men were gunned down by an unidentified man near Darband Bus Terminal on Tarbela Road, Haripur on Friday.
A police official told the media the deceased have been identified as Banaras and his brother, Tariq. They hailed from
Phohar village.
“The motive behind the double murder was a family feud,” he added. “However, the identity of the assailant could not be ascertained.”
According to the official, Banaras and Tariq were on their way to the market in the city.
“The assailant opened fire on them as they were alighting from a bus at the terminal,” he said. “The brothers died before they could be taken to the hospital. However, the assailant managed to escape.”
Police and locals reached the site and shifted their bodies to Women and Children Hospital, Haripur for an autopsy.
Doctors at the facility said the deceased were shot in the head and died on the spot.
“A case was filed against the attackers,” said rhe official. “However, the deceased’s family have not nominated anyone in the FIR,” the official added.
Further investigation into the incident is under way. Police are searching for the accused.
