KARACHI: Sindh Assembly speaker Agha Siraj Durrani invited on Wednesday the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Muslim League - Functional (PML-F) and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) to join the Sindh government.

He said this while talking to the media after accepting MQM's requisition to rejoin the assembly. "MQM MPAs have now withdrawn their resignation and they are part of this assembly," Durrani said, and requested the party to join the treasury benches once again. He added that other opposition parties should also consider becoming part of the provincial government for the betterment of Sindh. On the other hand, senior minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro also welcomed MQM lawmakers to Sindh Assembly. "[Pakistan Peoples Party] PPP does not believe in solo flights. Our doors are open for MQM and others to join treasury benches." Khuhro added that PPP, MQM and PML-F have together ruled in Sindh for over five years and the problem that citizens face can be resolved with joint wisdom.

He said that the law and order situation in Sindh has been controlled because of the consensus of all parties on Karachi operation.
