Here are a few sartorial risks the diva pulled off flawlessly.

KARACHI: Deepika Padukone knows how to win hearts with her killer style. The Bollywood beauty, who never fails to bring her A-game forward, flaunted her phenomenal fashion sense once again during the promotional rounds of her upcoming film Tamasha.

She was daring and bold, and and we could not help but fall in love with her quirky style. Here are a few sartorial risks the diva rocked flawlessly:

Polka dots

The leading actress kept it minimal during the trailer launch of Tamasha in Mumbai. The coin-embellished neckline and the antique gold necklace give a little edge to the monotone polka-dotted dress. The twisted center-parted updo with loose waves and nude makeup radiate simplicity, and the white nail colour is totally en vogue.

Formal meets casual

Steering away from the casual, preppy look, Deeps upped the ante in a crisp buttoned down shirt. For many, a shirt buttoned all the way up to the neck may fall under the 'don'ts' style guide, but not for Deepika. The risk-taker nailed the look by pairing it with cropped denims. The pointed white stilettos, her sleek side-parted hair and warm smokey eyes all add the 'oomph' factor to her attire.

Not-so-Deepika

A granny maxi dress? Someone possibly raided the star's wardrobe or may be she just hired a new stylist who went a little overboard with experimentation. This trend is not in vogue and we hope it never makes a comeback. Those lace up brogues and layered sleeves are highly questionable. Even her kohl rimmed eyes and pretty pink lips couldn't save the disastrous dress.

Bling it on

Deepika had better luck with paisleys this time, but her attire is still a far cry from stylish. The ill-fitted dress does nothing to accentuate the actress' toned figure. Even the belt is loose and fails to hug her slender waistline. The sheer bling fabric is anything but glamorous. The silver heels also fail to complement her ensemble. A better job with her hair and makeup might have helped, but even they wouldn't have been able to save the dress.

Truly eastern

Delhi saw her vamp it up with a chic eastern look. The black flared gown with an embellished neckline and a contrasting floral cape paired together perfectly. The sheer fabric is proof that you don't need to show off skin to exude sexiness. We are loving her half-up, half-down updo and nude makeup.

East meets West

Only Deepika can pull off this ensemble with such class. White sneakers are the hottest trend of this season, and the diva paired hers with a long gown and light denim jacket. It's all about daring to be different. Her bright lips add the perfect amount of colour to her outfit, and the simple chains draw attention towards her sharp collar bones.

Denim on Denim

Flared pants are back in fashion and these denim bell bottoms take us back to the swinging '60s. The denim on denim trend could be a major fashion risk if not done right. Pairing a darker denim bottom with a slightly lighter top is the most flattering way to work this style. Deepika flaunts her curves with the right fitting. Her loose waves and plum lips are always a big yes for winter.

Quite festive

Deepika put her best foot forward during the Diwali promotions. Draped in a white sari with hot pink floral embroidery, the style icon looked breathtaking. Her ethnic choker and jhumkas added the perfect essence of festivity to her look, while the sleek center-parted hair tied in a bun and smokey eyes were the perfect finishing touch to this ensemble.

She rocked yet another sari, this time choosing a black one with an intricately embellished gold border. Her gold jhumkas and bangles were the perfect accessories to suit the occasion. And look at those mesmerising smokey eyes...

Ranbir or Deepika, who is a better marketing guru?

A class apart

Deepika rocked this tricky silhouette. The classic rust wide-waisted belt and strappy flat sandals paired perfectly with her button down crisp white long shirt and black dotted cape. We are loving the contrasting grey notch lapel which strikes the perfect colour balance in the attire. The folded up sleeves reflect chic feminity, and her voluminous ponytail and winged eye-liner were on fleek.

Blazing blazer

Sweat pants and tank top paired with a printed blazer? Deepika carried this ensemble with charming confidence. However, the black strapped heels were not the perfect choice to complement her partly sporty ensemble. A pair of Toms or sneakers would have been a better option. Her suave loose waves are something she can never go wrong with, though.

Attention!

Deepika nailed the military look. The khaki dress with a wide waist belt is bang on. The black strappy heels match the crochet border which adds a feminine touch to her dress. However, the dangling earrings looks a little overstated. The hair makes her appearance look flat, but the makeup has covered up all the other flaws.

One step forward

Deepika took a risk yet again by paring a grey maxi dress with a printed bomber jacket. Needless to say, her style has been quite eccentric. The silver flat sandals are casual yet chic. She has rocked the half-up, half-down updo this time as well.

Tamasha trailer is out!

A hint of glamour

As the release date gets closer, Deepika has started to channel her usual side. She looks nothing less than a diva in this beige brocade suit paired with a plain top. The golden pointed stilettos are the best option for this formal ensemble, and her nude eyes, bold lips and soft curls have upped the glamour quotient.

All in all, Deepika has gone all out with her style game and we can't wait to see the sartorial choices she has opted for in Tamasha.
