Local bodies: PTI govt accused of supreme control
It is unfortunate the provincial government is not releasing funds or devolving powers
PESHAWAR:
ANP provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak said the PTI-led government was reluctant to provide local governments with funds and control – a real hurdle in the devolution of power to a grass-roots level. In a press release issued from Bacha Khan Markaz on Monday, Babak said lack of funds for the local governments within the province was creating problems for representatives. “It is unfortunate the provincial government is not releasing funds or devolving powers. As a result, local governments remain uncertain,” said Babak.
