Jeep accident: Two killed, 9 injured

The driver lost control while negotiating a turn, a police official said

At least two passengers were killed while nine others were wounded when a jeep plunged into a roadside gorge in a village near Balakot Saturday evening. Eyewitnesses and police told The Express Tribune the vehicle was en route from Balakot to Hangrai village in Kaghan Valley when it developed a mechanical fault and skidded off the road. “The driver lost control while negotiating a turn,” a police official said. “As a result, Hameedullah and Haleem died on the spot while nine others, including a minor were injured.”
