Contest: Three-day science bee concludes
The bee aimed to test the students’ theoretical and practical approaches to science
ISLAMABAD:
A three-day national science bee concluded here at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) on Sunday.
The NUST Science Society had organised the event, participated by students from different engineering universities of Pakistan.
The bee aimed to test the students’ theoretical and practical approaches to science, and included science debates, brainstorm round (IQ tests) and impromptu speeches.
The brainstorming session was a test of individuals’ analytical, visual and inquisitive skills. In this contest, the Newtonian Einstein group from NUST was the winners while the runner-ups were Bloody Sharks from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
In the “I Debate Science” contest, Rooh-e-Rawan group from the Military College of Engineering (MCE) Risalpur was the winner and Whiskipedia group from NUST was declared the runner-up.
Similarly, Ahmed Sandhu from the MCE Risalpur won the “Impromptu Debates” contest while NUST’s Qazi Rehan was declared the runner-up.
The “Buzz Night” on the first day of the event was a mesmerising experience which engrossed the students with live performance of Jaswal and other singers.
