ISLAMABAD:
Turkey has established two computer laboratories at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), one each at the women’s and men’s hostels. Ambassador of Turkey Sadik Babur Girgin inaugurated the second computer lab on Friday. Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has constructed and equipped the labs. TIKA provided funds for the establishment of labs including buildings, computers, furniture, air conditioners and electricity backup. A lab in the girls’ hostel was opened in July this year. The ambassador said Turkey and Pakistan enjoy friendly and brotherly relations. He said the agency would continue supporting the university. QAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Javed Ashraf thanked the donation from Turkey and called it a symbol of Pakistan-Turkey friendship.
