Consumer Court: Notice issued to tailor
He asked the court to direct the tailor to pay him Rs1,000,000 damages

A consumer court issued a notice to a tailor on Saturday in connection with a petition seeking Rs1,000,000 damages for stitching three ill-fitting shalwar kamees suits. Petitioner Muhammad Azmat said he had asked tailor Azhar Majeed to stitch three shalwar kamees suits after providing him with the requisite amount of cloth needed. He said he was bewildered when he discovered that the suits had not been made-to-measure. Azmat said the tailor had promised to remedy the shortcomings but had failed to do so. He said he had ultimately refused to do this and compensate him. He asked the court to direct the tailor to pay him Rs1,000,000 damages.
