An annual charity bazaar by the Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association (PFOWA) is being organised on November 15, Sunday, said a press release. This year the event is being held within premises of the ministry, what the association calls ‘homecoming’.
The event will be inaugurated by National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and his spouse Reema Ayaz Sadiq.
Diplomatic community of Islamabad is participating in the annual gala and a large number of sponsors and donors; mainly representing brand product houses in Pakistan, will also organise their stalls. All proceeds of the event will go to PFOWA charitable activities, especially girls’ education.
The event will showcase a cultural kaleidoscope organised by different embassies based in the capital and performances by Kalash tribes and various local artists, according to PFOWA sources. Singer Fakhir will also be performing at the event.
PFOWA bazaar is an awaited event in the town where dozens of embassies bring their stalls of food and artefacts. Other attractions include fun activities for children and a raffle draw. The Prime Minister’s foreign affairs adviser Sartaj Aziz and special assistant Tariq Fatemi are expected to visit the bazaar.
