KARACHI:

Pakistan’s Muhammad Sajjad came back from two frames down to win 4-2 against Thailand’s Issara Kachaiwong and top Group N in the ongoing IBSF World Individual Snooker Championship in Hurghada, Egypt.

Both cueists were in contention to top the group, but it was Sajjad who won the battle to remain unbeaten.

The first two frames were closely-fought affairs that could have been won by Sajjad, but unforeseen errors caused them to slip away from his hands. But from then on he ensured that the match remained in his favour and defeated Issara, scoring breaks of 79 and 57 in the last two frames as he won by scores of 45-66, 55-63, 67-25, 65-63, 79-04, 74-12.

IBSF world event: Changezi maintains winning streak

Meanwhile, Shahram Changezi suffered his first defeat of the competition after England’s Ryan Causton beat him 4-3 and Mohammad Asif triumphed in his third consecutive match, winning 4-2 against Malta’s Aaron Busuttil.
