KARACHI: Fresh off his stint in the runaway hit Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (JPNA), Humayun, many expected, would next be seen in another feature film. But the actor is gearing up to return to the medium that became his claim to fame nearly two decades ago – television.

According to a press release, Humayun is to feature in a TV serial after a gap of nearly four years. Having previously appeared in notable TV serials, such as Chandni Raatein, Kabhi Kabhi Pyaar Mein and Ishq Junoon Deewangi, Saeed’s latest acting stint will be in a serial titled Dillagi. The drama serial will reunite Saeed with his JPNA director Nadeem Beyg, who also helmed the famous drama serial Pyarey Afzal, and cast member Mehwish Hayat.

Mahesh Bhatt, Humayun Saeed team up for 'pro-Pakistan' film Dushman

The year 2015 has already been a successful one for Humayun, as he appeared in two notable films Bin Roye and JPNA. He also made a cameo appearance in Dekh Magar Pyaar Say and recently wrapped up filming for the action-epic Yalghaar.

In an earlier interview with The Express Tribune, he had revealed that he’ll work on a venture alongside Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. The movie, titled Dushman, will be directed by Shagufta Rafique, who has written several hit films, such as Aashiqui 2, for Bhatt’s production company Vishesh Films. Saeed will also play one of the lead roles in the upcoming film.
