Supermodel Ayan Ali moved Lahore High Court on Thursday seeking to be acquitted from the money laundering case she has been embroiled in. In her petition, Ali said the FIR against her alleged that she was travelling to Dubai when she was not. The supermodel said it was not a given that every citizen would be cognisant of a State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) circular regarding money laundering. She said the department had failed to prove anything against her despite detaining her for four months. Ali said it was illegal to indict anyone without proving any illegality. A division bench of LHC had granted her bail on July 14.
