FAISALABAD:

State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali has written to the Punjab Police IG Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera asking him: “to utilise his professional capabilities to ensure an impartial investigation of allegations levelled by Navid Commando against Rana Sana Ullah Khan”.

Navid alias Commando had alleged that he had committed several murders on orders of Sanaullah. Navid was sentenced to death by an anti-terrorism court for killing Asghar Ali alias Bhola Gujjar, Sanaullah’s associate, and his driver Muhammad Siddique.  ATC Judge Rana Pervaz Akhtar had also directed the CPO to probe Navid’s allegation against Sanaullah, recorded in court on July 15.  Sher Ali said it appeared that the police were trying to shield the culprits.

Faisalabad Operations SP Hafiz Irfan Ullah Khan has recoded Navid’s statement in Faisalabad Central Jail. He has also recorded statements of three others reportedly close to Sanaullah.
