Expressing his satisfaction over relations between civil and military establishments, Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan said such ties successfully countered the threat of terrorism.
Mehtab claimed 182,000 displaced families had been repatriated, while the remaining would return by the middle of the next calendar year. He said almost all IDPs from Khyber Agency had returned and the repatriation of those from Orakzai was in the concluding phase. He added displaced people from North and South Waziristan were being repatriated.

Expressing his satisfaction over relations between civil and military establishments, Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan said such ties successfully countered the threat of terrorism.
“People are living in peace, right from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) to Karachi, due to relations between the civil administration and the armed forces,” said Mehtab. He was fielding questions during a brief chat with the media at a hotel Thursday evening.
He said military action against terrorists was very effective and it yielded positive results. “It was a big challenge, but the armed forces achieved objectives according to the wishes of the people.” He reminded people military action dismantled terrorist groups. He commended the sacrifices rendered by tribespeople who abandoned their homes during the military operations.
