The counter-terrorism department (CTD) arrested a wanted militant in Sarband village, Swat on Wednesday. According to a handout issued by the department, he has been identified as Alamzeb and was arrested during a raid. “CTD received information about his whereabouts and arrested him from a house in Sarband,” read the statement. The handout added Alamzeb was wanted in a number of terrorism cases and the government had announced a bounty of Rs1 million on his head. “He is believed to be involved in an attack on Gandigar police station in Dir in which a constable lost his life,” stated the document.
