ABBOTABAD:

To address public complaints regarding administrative departments, the K-P government launched a Performance Management Cell in Abbottabad on Wednesday. DC Khalid Mehmood chaired the meeting with various district heads of different departments in attendance.

Speaking on the occasion, Mehmood noted the cell is established to facilitate citizens in their complaints without delay. Locals were urged to lodge their complaints against any department using an app called Citizen’s Portal, available for download at smart.pmc.gkp.pk.

DC also addressed the participants on the modus operandi for the newly developed application. He said once lodged on the portal, the complaint will be immediately forwarded by PMC to the relevant department. He assured participants addressing each complaint would be mandatory for all departments and confirm the response with PMC in a prompt manner. All departments were assigned their respective access details to ensure proper response to the public.

The DC also made it clear the provincial government wanted district administrative departments to improve their performances in resolving public’s issues. Mehmood warned participants non-compliance or delays in response would be taken up by the provincial chief secretary.
