ISLAMABAD:

Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Wednesday said socio-economic and humanitarian development were possible through sharing information in this modern age, while inaugurating the Belarusian ‘information and culture centre’. The centre, located at the National Library of Pakistan, was inaugurated by Belarusian Prime Minister Andrey Kobyakov. Rashid said the centre was the beginning of a roadmap of Belarusian-Pakistani Humanitarian Cooperation Agreement, signed between the two countries. “We are grateful to the government of Belarus for facilitating access to all the material available with the National Library of Belarus on various subjects online,” the minister said. He said this will provide Pakistani academia, students, intellectuals and researchers to access material available with the National Library of Belarus, free of cost.
