SWABI:
A man allegedly killed his father and stepmother in Swabi on Monday night. Insiders familiar with the matter told The Express Tribune the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Zaida police station. According to a police official, Said Nawab allegedly opened fire on his father and stepmother while they were sleeping in their room. “Taj Wali, his father, died on the spot,” the police official reported. The official added the alleged murderer’s stepmother was rushed to the hospital. “She was critically wounded and eventually succumbed to her injuries.” The policeman stated that a domestic dispute provoked Nawab into the crime. Inayatullah, the deceased’s son, informed the police the incident was triggered by a minor disagreement between Said Nawab and Taj Wali.
An FIR has been registered and further investigation is under way.
