Ensuring immunity: Anti-polio drive begins tomorrow
Special counters will also be established at public parks, railway stations, bus and wagon stands

A five-day polio vaccination drive will start on November 10 in Rawalpindi District, according to a health official on Sunday. Executive District Officer Health Dr Arshad Ali Sabir said as many as 1,733 teams have been constituted to administer polio drops to nearly 750,947 children in the district below the age of five. “We have taken special measures to further strengthen coverage during the drive,” he said. Senior staff from the district health department will be deputed to monitor activities during the campaign, he added. Special counters will also be established at public parks, railway stations, bus and wagon stands, the airport and other transit points to administer the anti-polio drops, Sabir shared.
