Gone so early: Rosie the Lahore Zoo leopard dies

The Punjab University had adopted the cub earlier this month

LAHORE:
Rosie, a four-month-old leopard, died in Lahore Zoo early on Sunday. Kiran Saleem, education officer at the zoo, said the cub had not shown any symptoms of disease or deterioration of health. “The early postmortem report has not revealed the cause of death. We have sent samples to the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. The complete report would be available in a couple of days,” Saleem said. The female leopard was born on June 28 to a rehabilitated male leopard Max and his female Kovo. It was the first ever birth of a leopard cub at the zoo. The Punjab University had adopted the cub earlier this month.
