MQM wants investigation of officers who are letting go of criminals while putting blame of every crime on the party

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Supreme Court Justice Anwar Zaheer to investigate those officers who were letting go of criminals and were putting blame of every crime on the party.

In a press statement, the party said that when KU professor Dr Shakil Auj was murdered, the al Qaeda subcontinent claimed responsibility for it as reported in a newspaper and video link. Auj's son also in the media said his father was getting threats from religious extremists.

Despite this the law enforcement agencies have tried to put this blame on the MQM, said the party, urging action and investigation against those officers who were releasing criminals and terrorists and arresting MQM workers and putting the blame on them for the murder.

According to the MQM, dozens of their workers were picked up and forcefully tried to be held responsible. Karachi Police Additional IG Ghulam Qadir Thebo also said that the arrested men from the MQM had claimed responsibility for the murder.

It also said that the blame of another murder of Professor Waheed ur Rehman was also put on the MQM.
