The counter-terrorism department (CTD) arrested a man for allegedly providing activated SIM cards for mobile phones to militants and extortionists. A resident of Kot Daulat Zai in Garhi Kapura, Mardan, Mahad Ahmad also known as Malik, was picked up by CTD officials from a bus stand in Peshawar. He was allegedly activating SIM cards under various identities and selling them onwards to suspected militants. The accused was shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation. An FIR was registered.
