Monitoring system: NAB acting chief reviews progress

Tajwar gives directives at a meeting to review progress on NAB’s monitoring and evaluation system

The acting chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Imtiaz Tajwar has asked the bureau’s DG operations to enhance coordination with all DGs of regional bureaus and comply with directions of NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry in letter and spirit.



This will help in institutionalising the support and supervision at different levels of management, he said.


Tajwar gave these directives at a meeting to review progress on NAB’s monitoring and evaluation system (MES) at the bureau’s headquarter here on Friday, according to a press release issued by the bureau.


During the meeting, DG headquarters gave a presentation regarding the progress on the working of the MES.


He informed the meeting that NAB, on the directions of the chairman, has developed an effective MES catering the needs of all and having salient features of maintenance of data at each stage; including complaint entry, verification, inquiry, investigation, prosecution and the record preservation of regional and executive board meetings.


Along with setting up of an effective monitoring and evaluation system, an ability to analyse data in qualitative and quantitative forms with warnings and alarm system for evaluators has also been developed, apprised the official.
