Quake Assistance: China hands over relief items to NDMA

The Chinese ambassador appreciated the government of Pakistan’s timely assistance to the earthquake affected people

ISLAMABAD: China extended on Thursday humanitarian relief assistance to the government of Pakistan for the earthquake victims. Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong handed over the relief consignment to Information Minister Parvez Rashid and Maj Gen Asghar Nawaz, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The consignment, mainly including tents, blankets and generators, was handed over at the Benazir International Airport, Islamabad. The Chinese ambassador appreciated the government of Pakistan’s timely assistance to the earthquake affected people and reiterated the resolve of his government to stand by the people of Pakistan. Senator Parvez Rashid thanked the Chinese ambassador for the support and response from the Chinese government.
