From scratch: Court orders retrial in Mansehra gang rape case
The accused raped a teenage girl in a car after offering her a lift when she was returning home
ABBOTABAD:
A division bench of the Peshawar High Court has ordered retrial of a gang rape case on Thursday. Earlier, on March 5, an anti-terrorism court in Abbottabad, handed down a prison sentence of 14 years to Qari Naseer and Faizan alias Faizi while their accomplice Hussain Mushtaq was awarded 10 years imprisonment. However, Anam Saleem, a co-accused in the case was acquitted. According to prosecution lawyer, the accused raped a teenage girl in a car after offering her a lift when she was returning home after an exam on May 13, 2014.
