Discipline violation: Fifth PTI district councillor de-seated
Two from Malakand and one from Charsadda for violating party discipline during the elections on August 30
PESHAWAR:
PTI district councillor Urooj Khan has been de-seated after a reference was filed against her for violating party discipline during the nazim and naib nazim elections on August 30. This was stated in a handout issued on Thursday. Urooj, who hails from Mansehra, was de-seated by the Election Commission of Pakistan and the hearing was conducted under the defection clause of the local government legislation. PTI has filed reference against 57 local government councillors, including 22 from Abbottabad, 10 from Peshawar, 14 from Buner, four each from Karak and Mansehra, two from Malakand and one from Charsadda for violating party discipline during the elections on August 30.
