Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Thursday refuted reports of party chairman Imran Khan being beaten up by his former wife Reham Khan.
“Similarly on behalf of the chairman, I wish to state categorically that stories of Reham Khan hitting Imran Khan are absolute lies – the product of a vicious mind,” party spokesperson Shireen Mazari said in a press statement.
Mazari’s response came after wide sections of the media reported that there may have been physical altercations between the couple ahead of their divorce.

Further, the party spokesperson clarified that no party leader was “privy to either discussions of Khan’s marriage nor of the divorce.”
Mazari also expressed regret "at the manner in which malicious rumours are being given out regarding the breakup of chairman Khan's marriage to Reham Khan."
“All stories of vast monetary settlements made to Reham Khan are absolutely false and lies deliberately being floated to target Reham Khan and Imran Khan,” the press statement added.

Concluding the statement, Mazari said, "It is unfortunate that the media is floating rumours and conjectures about the divorce of Imran Khan and Reham Khan at a time when both are going through a difficult personal time as are their families, especially their children."
After a 10-month long marriage, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan and his wife Reham Khan decided to part ways.
The PTI chief confirmed his and Reham’s decision to file for divorce via twitter on Friday. ”This is a painful time for me and Reham and our families. I would request everyone to respect our privacy.”
