Clarification: SNGPL in disaster management mode
It is clarified that provision of gas to various schemes is not decided upon by SNGPL
ISLAMABAD:
The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) said on Wednesday that its managing director skipped the session of the parliamentary panel on petroleum held on Monday to attend an important meeting related to the LNG project. Members of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources had staged a walkout to protest the behaviour of officials posted at gas utilities, claiming that their concerns over impending gas development schemes were not being addressed. “It is clarified that provision of gas to various schemes is not decided upon by SNGPL,” said the state owned utility’s spokesman, while commenting on the proceedings of the committee on November 2.
