Terrorist bid foiled: Political agents seize ammunition

PARACHINAR: Security forces in Kurram Agency foiled a terrorist act by seizing large quantities of arms and ammunition. According to Lower Kurram Assistant Political Agent Fazal Qadir and Frontier Corps Colonel Rashid, they received a tip-off regarding the transportation of a large quantity of illegal arms and ammunition for terrorist activities. Qadir and Rashid gave directives to tighten security at check posts across Kurram Agency. A Suzuki van carrying a large cache of weapons including 10 Kalashnikovs, 104 pistols, thousands of bullets and 4 silencers was stopped. The ammunition was confiscated and subsequently, potential terrorist bid was foiled. Political Agent Amjad Ali called it a “huge victory in the fight against terrorism.” Strict steps are being taken by the leadership and security forces in Kurram Agency to eliminate terrorism and curb all militancy.
