For the farmers: 12 Kissan package disbursement centres set up

District Agriculture Officer said at least 65,000 farmers would receive the benefit in the first phase of disbursement

The Muzaffargarh district administration has set up 12 cash disbursement centres under the Prime Minister’s Kissan Package to extend financial help to farmers.



District Agriculture Officer Mehr Abid Hussain on Wednesday said four centres had been set up in Muzaffargarh, four in Kot Addu, four in Alipur and two in Jatoi. He said Rs5,000 financial assistance per acre for cotton and paddy fields will be distributed.


He said at least 65,000 farmers would receive the benefit in the first phase of disbursement.


He said the centres had been set up at Faisal Stadium, Elementary College, Government High School Rangpur, Government High School Khangarh.


In Kot Addu, the centres were set up at Elementary College, Government Higher Secondary School Ehsanpur, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Chowk Sarwar Shaheed and Government Boys High School Sanawan.    In Alipur, the centres were set up at Government Post Graduate College, Government Boys High School while in Jatoi, the centres were set up at Government Degree College and Higher Secondary School, Shehr Sultan, he said.
