Minister of State for Information Technology (IT) Anusha Rahman has said that the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) should focus on counseling and marketing IT startups in order to increase exports, which are expected to increase to $5 billion before 2020.
She said this workshop would help young IT entrepreneurs assess the current state of the industry and look at steps being taken to bolster long term growth. She also mentioned the construction of a new state-of-the-art IT Park in Islamabad for which Korean Exim bank will provide funding.

Minister of State for Information Technology (IT) Anusha Rahman has said that the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) should focus on counseling and marketing IT startups in order to increase exports, which are expected to increase to $5 billion before 2020.
Rahman said that to achieve targets, PSEB needs to support and promote the country’s IT industry aggressively over the next five years. Addressing a two-day PSEB workshop for IT Startups and Entrepreneurs, she mentioned that reporting of IT exports needs to be improved because the State Bank of Pakistan’s remittance figures are much below than the actual exports of the industry.
