A PML-N activist was brawling with a PTI worker when Mushtaq jumped in to end the fight. However, Mushtaq was killed and Ashfaq Ahmad and Ali Haider were injured when gunshots were fired.
An eyewitness claimed that PTI Councillor Muhammad Rashid and his brothers were responsible for the incident, but PTI workers blamed PML-N activists for it.
