
He has directed the relevant authorities to make amends for what he reported to have termed “a misdeed of the FIA”.
It comes after MQM decided to formally separate itself from the federal government and sit on the opposition benches, a move that was already being anticipated by the PPP. Precisely for this reason, a hand of friendship was being extended to the PML-Q. The PPP has been reportedly successful to win the blessings of the “international guarantors” of this dispensation in terms of its quest to induct the PML-Q in its weakening coalition.
In the wake of these reports political observers believed that even after strong opposition from Faisal Saleh Hayat and others, PML-Q leadership could join hands with the PPP, as it would allow it to regain its erstwhile throne in Punjab as well as settle score with those of its 40 dissidents who had decided to support the PML-N in Punjab.
