PCB agreed broadcast production deal for PSL

UK based company awarded the rights to televise the tournament globally.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed broadcast production deal for PSL with the UK based Sunset+Vine to cover the league, according to PCB official press release.

The agreement finalise after PCB published an advertisement for the companies to submit their technical bid. Sunset+Vine, was among one of the many companies who showed their interest and submitted their proposal. The bids were evaluated by the PSL bid committee, assisted by PSL’s global consultant, Repucom.

Sunset+Vine’s technical bid was cleared by the bid committee, after which their financial bid was taken into consideration, leading them to be awarded with the deal.

Sunset+Vine, part of the Tinopolis Group of companies, is one of the leading and most formidable names in sports production worldwide having won over 40 major broadcast awards, including 5 BAFTAs for its cricket coverage.

Most recently, ICC World T20 Qualifiers which was held in Ireland and Scotland, was also broadcasted by Sunset+Vine.

Innovations in the game of cricket, such as Hawk – Eye, Snickometer and Ultra-slo-mo camera were introduced by Sunset+Vine.

The company currently produces the Barclays Premier League, Europa League football, Premiership Rugby and the European Champions Cup for BT Sport.

PSL will reserve all production rights for the tournament, thereby ensuring top quality coverage of the league as per international standards.

Number 152: Watson joins PSL roster

PSL will be held in UAE from 4-24 February next year, with five teams named after the provincial capital and a federal capital will take part in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
