Terror bid foiled in Hangu
Bomb weighing five kilogrammes found in Farooq Shah Market
HANGU:
Security forces and the bomb disposal unit foiled a terror bid in Tal Bazaar, Hangu by defusing a remote-controlled bomb on Friday.
BDU official Jafar Ali told The Express Tribune unidentified militants planted a device weighing five kilogrammes in Farooq Shah Market in Tal Bazaar, right outside Tal city police station.
“Upon receiving information about the threat, a team under Tal Scouts Commandant Colonel Naseem defused the bomb,” he said.
According to Ali, if the terror bid had been successful, hundreds of people would have lost their lives. This is not the first terrorist attack on Tal City police station.
